it happens sometimes, i can imagine, somebody is watching a concert on television, a concert which this person actually attended, like 10 years ago.. and all of a sudden this person sees himself amongst the crowd..
today i encountered the first real self pending and existential experience within this digital era.. i found moving images of myself while dreaming….
let me explain: somewhat over 10 years ago some friends asked me to join them for a illegal acidparty somewhere in Amsterdam. I went, followed the never changing rules of party going and altered my perception. We partied hard until sunset.. For me it was a experience i could never quite forget..
some people (MononoM) just spotted a landingsite in the middle of nowwhere, put up a soundsystem, truly a wall of sound and pumped acid beats all night.. no charge of entry, beers were like 50 cents and just go!!..
To be so totally out of order, not to follow rules and regulations of expensive regular bars, to make use of old factories or deserted harbours. A community lasting for at least one night. This night and this night only it all came together for me…
the strange thing is… somebody was taping it 10 years ago and put it on youtube…….. so after 10 years i see myself (on 3/4 of the video) gazing towards the wall of sound..
and while we’re on the matter… some 3 years ago me and some friends travelled through Serbia to attend a Gypsy festival.. a little mountain village is being transformed to rough gypspy party for like 3 days and nights.. quite strong…
and well yes.. somebody was making photo’s!!!!! and probably the same guy made a videoclip for the hitsong Mesecina (moonlight) by Goran Bregovic … so again i see myself wearing a big strawhat enjoying the music into the night…
